I see that Pinhead wants to take over hell in Barker's new book. I thought he was just a faceless cenobite in the Hellbound Heart?

shareYes. I had worried that The Scarlet Gospels may end up veering a bit into the world of the Hellraiser films, and it did. I never got the impression that the Cenobites were from hell. Even the first movie has "Pinhead" describe himself and the others as explorers of experience. Humans viewing them as Angels or Demons makes sense because humans have a limited understanding of the universe around them, but to literally have "Pinhead" take over Hell (or attempt to) seems wrong.
