It's true, only 1 to 3% of cats fed with dry food will develop serious health
problems but with the amount of obese cats pictures and videos online, they're
fed on dry, no doubt.
Mine was 12 fed years on it, no problems either, except 2 pounds overweight
from the sugary carbs until I got by chance on that catinfo.org website that
I'm sure prolonged my cat's life and health. I too like many cat parent
totally ignored simple feline diet basics: whether wild or domestic,
cats need animal protein, water IN their food and low carbs, just like nature wanted to. And that means canned food and/or raw meat.
But hey, keep on feeding your pets with dry food. I don't care. I just put
this website so it'll help clueless cat owners like the one I was.

My cat just turned 19 and lived on dry food most of her life. She is given wet now because she can't eat dry anymore.
