Surprised that this often only gets rated 6/10. 62% on RM?
As far as 80's horror films go, this movie deserves at least a 7.
It's new and it's creative. It also uses over the top gore effectively.

I agree, I am surprised it's only 62% considering how popular it is.

I like to think the critics who rated it poorly were close minded and didn't pay much attention and only saw lots of gore and overlooked the substance(as in Siskel and Ebert's cases).
