Rest in Peace Bruno Kirby
No one could have played Lt. Hawk like you did - thanks for entertaining us and keeping us laughing.

shareI second that emotion.
shareI third it. Bruno made this film worthwhile. He took the edge off Robin Williams' tremendously annoying character. I've been watching Bruno films all week since he died: "Harrad Experiment," "City Slickers" and now this.
shareThis was his best. One of the smartest and funniest guys in show business plays an absolute jackass with total conviction. That is some kind of acting.
"Sir, in my heart I know I'm funny."
Yes, Bruno. You certainly were.
Very nicely said Big Ed....
thanks for saying it....
Lt. Fuzz--that is Lt. Hawk--was the perfect straight man to contrast Adrian's overbaked irreverence.
sharei agree with you, and all the rest of the posts. i didn't know he passed 'til i saw this post. he was great in this role; funny, but not in the way that he hoped. he played it perfectly.
sharea scene stealing ,hilarious performance ,R.I.P!
shareThis role could not have been played by anyone other than Bruno Kirby...Lt. Hawk is so straight laced and wound up that he'd probably tell you if you had a non-regulation sneeze, and it takes a truly gifted actor to be able to stay in character with a guy like that around Robin Williams...BK will sincerely missed, he's probably up there telling the other guys 'And if you DOooo...and if you DOOooo'...haha I laugh just writing that...

If you want it you can have it you gotta learn to reach out there and grab it=W=
Don't forget J.T. Walsh and Noble Willingham both of those guys have pasted on to the great screen in the sky.
shareOne line of Bruno's that sticks out to me in this film is: "Sir, in my heart, I KNOW I'm funny." - and how right you were, Bruno. This film, City Slickers, When Harry Met Sally... even in dramatic roles such as The Super and Godfather 2. RIP, Mr Kirby. :(
shareand his breakthrough role on Superdad!
I always loved his high, reedy voice as a kid.
lol could you possibly mean "passed"?
suzycreamcheese RIP Heath Ledger 1979-2008
