'In my heart I know....' Bruno Kirby is the funniest thing in this!

''And if you do.... AND IF YOU DO!!!''
Without Kirby's character, Williams wouldn't have had anything to play against.
Right from the start Hauk feels threatened by Cronauer and tries to undermine him at every turn. His insecurities and lack of comedic talent soon become very apparent, and rather than being the villain of the picture, we can't help feeling sorry for him.
It took great skill to play an unfunny character very convincinly and in doing so make it hilarious. The scenes when he takes over as dj are the best part of the film, they are painful to watch, but they are meant to be.
Lt. Steven Hauk, I salute you.

I was surprised to see he passed away in 2006, such a shame.

But yes, he played the character very well. That's about as good a poker as you're gonna get!

"In my heart, I know I'm funny."

That was his only funny line.

It's "polka" not "poker". But I have acknowledge that you correctly spelled "you're", which is the most misspelled word on the Internet (everybody spells it "your" for some reason). Good job.
