What did the recruits really want to say while doing pushups?

During the scene where the other recruits are doing pushups they had to say "1, 2, 3, 4, I love the Marine Corps" what did the recruits really want to say? How were they feeling about Pyle during this point?

reply

I wasn’t a marine, but I was ARMY Infantry and my basic training experience mirrored what was shown in FMJ. This sort of thing was common, someone steps on their dick and the whole platoon would pay for it. After a week no one really cared or took it too personally unless it became commonplace. And just as in FMJ, there was an instance where one particular individual was consistently fucking up and many of my peers were on the verge of literally stomping his ass. I intervened on more than one occasion, preventing a full beat down from happening. After awhile this guy eventually got his shit together and became part of the unit.

Did any of the fuckups you white knighted for atleast have the common courtesy to give you a reach around?

reply

Good one.

When will that retard fuck off and die? I bet that's really what they wanted to say.

reply

I can imagine them saying "Private Pyle is such an asshole"
