Finally on DVD

About f*#kin time, I say.
For those who love their guilty pleasures, especially from the 80s action genre, this is indeed a treat.
Only this one isnt undernourished like the vast majority that were pumped out during the decade.
Walter Hill is at the helm, adding style and blood. Milius scripts. Nolte is the baadaas ranger. Damn, even Michael Ironside is cast as a back-stabbing government operative. And who could forget Conchita Alonso, the perfect senorita. Kassar/Vajna were also big in the 80s and early 90s.
Long overdue if you ask me, but indeed a pleasant surprise.

damn that sucks. Is it only awful by DVD standards, or are we talking a step down from the VHS?

I'd never thought I'd ever say this about a DVD release...but it's a step down. You'd seriously almost be better watching a well-kept VHS of it.

That's great to hear they are finally giving Extreme Prejudice & Johnny Handsome their due on DVD. I hope the rumour proves to be true. The old widescreen laserdisc is probably the best versions available in North America for these two.
