Except Rip Torn! The sheriff, drug dealer, Army mercenaries all products of their environment and brainwashed.

Sgt McRose and his team were all good men. They were still 100% loyal to their country, and they were totally against any innocent bloodshed. Hackett was a bad dude, and thanks to Biddle and McRose he payed for it.

What do you mean there was no kindness? There was the scene when Maria Conchinta Alonso stepped out of the shower buck nekkid! How kind of her was that!

To say nothing about the other but-naked woman in the bed in Mexico. She sat up in bed crying, and I have no idea why she was there but I don't care.

Jack's woman left him for a drug dealer and he went down to Mexico to rescue her. That's fucking saintly for a hard man like Jack. "Kindness" doesn't factor into a story like this. Good guys who even do the right thing aren't "kind" or soft in these movies.
