soundtrack (spoilers)
It appears that the piece of music used when Smut hangs himself is missing on the soundtrack. The song has a very similar sound to the opening and end themes but it is different. Does anyone know why this was left off?

shareMichael Nyman's music was based on Mozart's, and the original music can be heard at times in the movie ... could include the part you're referring to? And the original music isn't on the Michael Nyman soundtrack, I think.

There's a brief piece just before and as the people arrive for the tug of war that's not on the soundtrack as well. Don't know why it's not on the soundtrack, best guess is that it was too short. I'll watch again for the piece you mention.
