I agree! As a side note (and I am nothing whatsoever to do with this company) there is a website called Fright Rags who make horror movie themed t-shirts. They produced a shirt based on that Creepshow 2 story which had a picture of the hitchiker holding a banner and the words "thanks for the ride lady". There is a link to the image below:

LOL You made me laugh so hard. I had my mother watching this when we were at the cottage back in '88. She's not into horror movies at bit, but to this day, I still use that line on her and it makes her laugh too

useless trivia: the actor who played the hitchhiker recreated that scene in 'Tales from the Hood.' in that one, he was another vengeful corpse but less of a speed bump.
