The fans of Creepshow 2, Point Break really inspired me to come out of my shell and create this page. So go to my new page, click on the like button. Thanks. And I mean that man, from the bottom.
Whoa, Daniel...what it be man? This is awesome! I'll be hitting that fb page when I get home (can't access fb at work, its blocked...the basturds).
Mind answering a couple of basic question on CS 2 now?
1. Did you get to meet Stephen King or George A. Romero on set?
2. What is the true intention of that scene where you lay Laverne down on the Raft...was it simply an absent-minded "cop-a-feel" moment or a more malicious move to offer Laverne as a sacrifice to the blob?
3. And if it isn't too overly private (and I understand if U don't wish to answer), given the film's low budget, how much were you paid for this gig?
-- I'm your average ordinary everyday, jorgeegeetooo!
I read your questions and the answers are on my facebook. Look for Daniel Beer public figure, click the like button. Check out the discussion section, where people have written questions and my answers and other behind the scenes info. And the note I wrote about shooting the film. But mind you my FB page is G rated and respectful. I'm over people trying to be too cool.
Poncho I loved you in Creepshow 2. But I don't have facebook and will die without one. I hate facebook. But it is cool that you responded to me thanks!
Thanks djanimor. I have a website danielbeer.net, where I have some cool behind the scene photos of Creepshow 2 and my other films and tv stuff and my blog on the site. I'm a published writer, and you can read my short story there too. No facebook. Why?. It's fun, get on the FB scene. You may discover that you like it. Remember it's all about perspective and what you make of it. I like your positive attitude about my posting here. I'm over people being snarky. Best, DB
outshyned, Thanks for the compliment. Check out my facebook fan page, lots of behind the scenes stuff, and cool folks on there. It 's fun chatting with you all. Best DB
Jesus is NOT dead. He is ALIVE and waiting for you to repent of your sins. When ALL of those who were given to Him {John 17:9} become Christians, then He will come and gather us Christians so we can escape the destruction of the universe.
You're a real chump for not answering the guys questions. No wonder your career is in the *beep* You have no people skills and do not know how to get fans. Congrats on being a bad actor and you yourself having to beg on IMDB for some fans.
I agree, this thread could have been really awesome if you'd just answered the questions here. This is a movie discussion board! I did like the behind-the-scenes photos though on FB. It is a turn off to just get people to hit your page. It's better to talk to us as fans instead of manipulating us into visiting your site. Just saying.
Wait a second I start a FB page, post photos, write about the experience, try to reply to peoples questions, and open myself up and you call it manipulating. I didn't have to post on here. The FB page I created is for fans of this film and others I've been in and future work. But you're going to turn it into a negative. Then don't visit our FB page. I'm the one that damn near killed myself making this picture. I think I've earned the right to create a FB fan page. You and others who post the same snarky stuff think it should revolve around you and your wants. The world revolves around you. Tell ya what, you go make a film that people like. Do you have any idea how you sound? Yeah, I'm going to post photos and write blogs on an IMDB thread. All the folks on our FB page are really cool and positive, and I really appreciate their responses and input. We delete anyone that's negative. DB
All I'm saying is several people have asked questions here and you answer them by telling them to go to your FB page instead of just answering it. If you don't want to retype your answer, just copy and past some of it from FB to here. We're not asking for photos and links and a huge discussion if you don't want, even though that is what IMDB Message Board is all about. I visited your FB page and posted some nice comments just so you know. I've been a fan of both Creepshow 1 and 2 as well as Stephen King for my entire life. So, I thought it was really cool of you to come here and share your experiences with us. I'm not denying that! You worked hard for that film and I (as well as the other fans) appreciate it. But it seems to me you are not trying to engage with the fans on IMDB.com, but only on Facebook. Not everyone has an FB page or is interested in going there. If I sounded snarky it's only because I was disappointed in the way this thread was handled.
I still love Creepshow 2 and I still love The Raft and I also "liked" your page on FB and showed my support, but I stand by what I said. Best of luck to you and you future endeavors.
I think your reply is way too nice seeing as how this guy replied to your post.
I don't know if he's the real actor or not and frankly I don't care. I've never seen him in anything other than Creepshow 2 and he was far from the best thing about the movie.
Like you said not everyone has an FB page or is interested in Facebook, so the least the guy could do, if he was genuinely interested in interacting with fans as he claims, is reply over here.
I'm not a fan of his though the movie was okay, but I think he could be a little nicer to the people who are his fans and stop begging for likes on some silly site.
Not many actors take the time to interact with fans personally online so I appreciate him trying, but he certainly doesn't seem to be genuine about his efforts.
My biggest question is: whatever happened to the Laverne character in real life? Jeremy Green? It seemed like Creepshow 2 was her last movie and she couldn't have been older than her early 20's back then.
Some of us stayed in touch for a bit. Paul and I were room mates with another actor friend in LA. But just like in life and any other job people move forward, get married, have kids, interests change. Honestly, to survive Hollywood you have to learn not to get to attached while making a film, because it's over quick and you have to move on to the next. Others actors and folks in the business learn this. It's a part of life. But you're always friends, because you shared an intense work experience. And that is the good part.
