If one night in a dinky hotel room costs $1.50 in this movie, getting paid $500 to completely trash your car and risk your life in the proces seems very unbelievable.
Furthermore, it would be even better pay to steal a Cherry and sell it on some black market instead of just being paid to get it.. plot hole?

A common hotel room might run $150 (100x $1.50) in the present day, so if the bounty hunter is paid $50,000 (100x $500) you're saying they'd turn that down? You think Dog the Bounty Hunter would turn down a $50,000 collar? Man you must live on Easy Street.
