He walks in and the sales man is showing him and pointing out various models and styles of robots he can own?

Yes, there is a scene like this in this movie. The main character's robot, Cherry, shorts out and he goes to the robot store to replace it, but nothing there is really up to the level of his Cherry 2000, so he goes on a trip into the lawless zones beyond the city to find a replacement at an abandoned robot factory.
