Bonsai kittens!!!

When the main character goes into the Glory Hole hotel there is a Bonsai kitten (a cat grown in an bottle) on the counter. Bonsai kittens were a notorious internet hoax several years ago, try looking it up on Wikipedia. I wonder if the whole idea started with this movie?

the same thought i had....but C2000 might be too obscure to have been a influence.

Bonsai animal stories are much older than the internet. Much like snipe hunts.

What I had in mind was boxing the compass.
