These days, people celebrate convenience living (i.e., Burger King, eBay, etc.).
It seems that travel/transit angels such as stewardesses are the new female deities.
"Cherry 2000" (1987) entertains me with its story about female trackers and female robot companions in an adventurous but tortuous badland.
