HD TV rip better than Blu Ray

Has anyone else noticed that the HDTV ripp that is downloadable from torrent websites is far superior picture quality in comparison to the Blu ray, It's a shame, you would've thought if the picture can be that good on HDTV, how they couldn't have matched it with the blu ray, but nonetheless I'll stick with the HDTV rip!

reply

Yes, Ive noticed that as well, which is I why still have my HDTV rip :)

I don't have Blu-Ray but I was watching a Harry Potter marathon on ABC Family a few weeks ago and noticed that the HD from Comcast looked better than my DVD set. Will still keep the DVDs, but I thought it was interesting.

Which Blu-Ray?

As there is a German Blu-Ray release that is purported to have much better picture quality than the USA Blu-Ray for the movie?

reply

Pal, do you have screenshots to prove this? The HD TV ripp is pristine clean like you wouldn't believe! It's almost as if the entire picture has been remastered.

This is very interesting, thanks for this. Do you know how the German release compares to the HD TV rip? Is it better or worse? Also there is a German limited edition Blu ray as well, does anyone know how this compares to both the standard German blu ray release as well as the HD TV rip?

reply

Totally agree. This is also why I've held onto my Cyborg HDTV Rip as well.

I have German Blu-ray and the picture is excellent and the best I have seen from Bloodsport.

Is the German Blu ray as good as the HDTV ripp?

reply

It is on Netflix currently and it is crystal clear!

Rip? Rest in peace?

reply

Dumbass.

Rip = Rip

It means it was ripped from that source.
