Yeah but he wasnt hitting ice blocks in front of everyone and he was the kumate champ to begin with, so he already had "street cred". He was just saying, easy to be a bad ass breaking a brick, but lets see you try that on a guy like me who can hit back.

dux wasnt trying to be badass though, he had to do it to prove he was trained by sidoshi.

Your right, but I think Chong Li saw the reaction from others around watching Dux doing that. So perhaps he felt threatened by Dux or he just wanted to get into Dux's head a little by making that statement.

I like how they tied in it to Bruce Lee though. In Enter the Dragon, Bruce Lee said to Robert Wall: "Board don't hit back."

(And Bolo Yeung-Chong Li was an extra in that movie...)
