What the hell is Isabelle Huppert doing in this movie?

Isabelle Huppert is a highly respected and award-winning actress. What the hell is she doing in a film with Steve Guttenberg????

If she's all that great and well-respected then maybe she should learn how to bleedin' act because she effing sucks. Most people have never heard of her cause she stinks.

She was awful in this movie.

Yeah one would think there's little reason to go all the way to France for someone as supremely talented as Huppert to cast this thinly written, underdeveloped part - a part which she ends up making a meal of in what is by far the worst performance I've seen from her. She's almost, dare I say, weaker than Guttenberg here. McGovern generally does a better job, but then comes the utterly ridiculous scene where she's required to make a fool of herself in that blue collar dive bar...

Isabelle was an unknown when Bedroom Window came out.
Steve the Gute Guttenberg was famous at the time.
