Suicidal woman

It was by far the most interesting scene of the entire pilot. It had a twilight zone-esque feel to it which made it very creepy and entertaining. If they would have stuck to that kind of formula, this show could have had some promise. Too bad the rest was absolute garbage.

I think the suicide subplot was included to make the pilot feature-length. I think the premise of the show was an anthology, much like THE TWILIGHT ZONE. New story every episode. The subplot could've been originally planned as the second episode for all I know.

When the series wasn't picked up, I wonder if anymore episodes had been written?

Yes, the movie was kind of silly for the most part but the suicidal woman made it rather interesting. I think the movie was too light and comical, more like a sitcom about a group of people fixing a motel than a horror movie. But the woman who wanted to commit suicide made it a bit darker and was the kind of movie I wanted.

What was garbage about the rest of the movie? This part of the movie was directly related to the rest of the movie in that, as the woman learned to handle her depression, Alex had to learn to handle stressful situations he was encountering.
