What is the brand and model of the Purple Muscle Car???

does someone know the brand and model of the Purple Muscle Car used in the movie?

Ford Capri, not sure of the year.

It's around about a 1974 model. I wanted a Ford Capri for years after seeing the one in this film, until I discovered how gas hungry they are. BTW in some shots, the luvers on the back of the car during the chase sequence disappear and reappear.
