Does anyone know if a new special edition DVD of Bad Taste will be coming out soon? I was just figuring that they might be putting one out since Jack Brown Genius just got released over in the States and it's even less well known than Bad Taste.
And, yes, I'm aware PJ didn't direct JBG, but he was a writer and a second-unit director.
Cool, didnt know JBG was now out on DVD in the states. I have the Hong Kong release... wonder if what aspect ratio it has.
As for Bad Taste, there is a relative 'Special Edition' out in Australia/New Zealand, it has the standard 'Good Taste Made Bad Taste' docco, but also has an exclusive audio commentary with O'Herne, Smith, Potter, Minett. It also has the german convention slideshow from the German DVD release (cropped to remove the audience), and newly filmed interviews with the cast (short though), and a TVNZ news clip I submitted to Universal for inclusion hee hee!
For a full blown Ultimate Edition, i'd say that would come if Wingnut Films decides to go all out on a Blu-Ray release. Expect a new docco, new commentary, deleted scenes, alternate endings etc.
I Have A Feeling That Bad Taste Will Be Re-released Throught Them Because They Usualy Put Out Alot Of The OOP(out of print) Anchor Bay Stuff, So Lets Hope They Put It Out!
