Good and funny movie!

Do you know what "verbs" are?

In any case, I wouldn't call this a GOOD MOVIE.

It's certainly funny, it is very atmospheric, it is interestingly filmed, it is very entertaining, and always, always fun to watch.

But as a movie - it is somewhat lacking. It doesn't have a very sophisticated plot, there are no real twists, it mainly consists of stupid jokes and gore, the premise is ludicrous, the characters are all morons, things are not explained very well, and as the name suggests, there's an awful lot of bad taste in it.

What I think a movie is or should be, this film isn't.

It's like comparing a book to a funny comic - this is the funny comic, a book is something done more seriously and with more sophistication and a different goal in mind.

A movie should have a real plot, real characters that the viewer can identify with, and tell an interesting and exciting (hopefully not too clichéic) story, in a way that creates immersion in the viewer.

This movie can't create immersion, because it's so out of the top. It's like a prolonged comedy routine or a joke, not really a movie, let alone 'good movie'.

The funniest bit is how the cigar-guy says the word "out". It always sounds like he's starting to throw up, or something. I guess that's New-Zealandish accent for ya.

One point I don't get - why does the bearded guy make such a big deal about defending the moon? Has he ever been there? Would he even notice if someone landed there? Does he live there? What's the point of that?
