some critics give this bottom rating while others give it just slightly lower than the first. one of the funniest bits i find in this is after dundee has just swayed off the building on a rope like tarzan and the one police hands over the rope to his uptight colleague and asks if he wants to jump after, by the way i read in a review to the first movie it was based on a tarzan adventure, and that the second crocodile dundee movie was co written by the star's kid, who i take it must have been very young since hogan was in his 40's in this, i've since figured that explains the different turn this movie takes from the first, this has more sort of an action vibe about it, the violence of this must have been quite unexpected when people first saw it after the first being more a charming light fun flick, and the first one feels rather short while this really feels to go on for ages. there is something about the cutaways to the jungle in the beginning that look off somehow for a movie. alot of people say they like the ending to the first movie, i agree there's nothing wrong with it, but i find the ending of this quite far out with all the twists, must be a shocker first time seeing it, spoiler, still, since there now is a third movie though, you know now he'll be alright. besides the folks in his australian home village, i don't think there is a single actor from the big city though to return for this sequel.

ground unwelcoming,
night was dangling from a balcony,
by moon coming from a flying saucer lowering,
to hostile earth stepped venus being,
hit me like a gorgeous sun in blue night,
caught in charm suddenly alright,
crashed in bleak spot when you went goodbye.
