53 bucks on Amazon right now isn't in my price range. WIll buy when it goes downObviously, that is your choice. But I would like to remind others of fans’ persistent frustration regarding series (e.g., China Beach) that may never be released due to music rights, and series (e.g., WKRP) that have been released with substitute music, disappointing viewers who remember the original songs.
If a suggested retail price of $59.99 is the price point required to release a season of a great television series with songs as originally aired, then my choice will be to pay what they are asking, and to be grateful for opportunity. share
Why don't you just rent it? Either at a video store, or via N3t f1ix or whatever. Every disk or video tape in our house is tucked away somewhere in a box or in the corner of some shelf covered with dust. We almost never buy any disks (the ones we have were given to me or my wife bought). You watch them once and you're done forever, not the kind of thing that warrants buying. For the price of 2-3 seasons of thirtysomething, you could pay for an entire year of N3t f1ix and watch many times as many movies and TV series. We just finished watching all 9 seasons of NCIS. Yeah, it was a project! But we became late NCIS fans a couple years ago and wanted to see it all in sequence from the beginning. Renting disks via the mail let's us do that, and do it cheaply. And we aren't accumulating piles of junk we'll never use again.
