What did the other Starfleet captains think of Picard always having a psychologist (Troi) right there...
acting as his "lie detector" and telling him what to do? And was Troi's position on the Enterprise something of an anomaly in Starfleet in that most large-ship psychologists worked out of the medical department? They therefore, presumably, didn't spend most of their time on the bridge, advising the Captain.
