The original show about SIMPS
A 304 dates two guys at the same time. She gets pregnant has the kid (I'm surprised she just didn't abort it- that seems to be the fashion with "strong independent women" these days) and makes the two guys take care of her kid after she dies, but no one knows which one is her real dad.
No sane man would do this! Not one. A sane man would demand a paternity test immediately.
He would not simp and move in with the other guy who was banging his girl and then raise the 304's kid together.
A rational premise for a show like this would have been to have one of them be the known father and the other guy was his friend/roommate. The other guy could have moved in to help out with raising the daughter. However, since the daughter didn't have a mother, he would have also taken on the role of (somewhat of) a second father. That way it could still be called "My Two Dads" because they were both raising her.
It would have also made her mom out to be a tragic loss instead of the loss of a 304. Yes, I am aware that the death is still tragic, but the mom's death loses its impact on the viewers because her mom was a lousy human being. It is terrible to be a cheater no matter what your sex is. $h!t heads cheat- not decent people. The fact that she was cheating/jumping back and forth for her own amusement, so much, that she had no idea whose kid it was makes her seem even worse.
Also, if they had used the sane and logical premise that I stated above it would make the episode where Nicole talks about how one of her dad's is hot, a lot less creepy and pedophilic!
I was eleven when this came out and even at that very young age, I thought it was f'd up.
Let me restate that. I WAS 11 AND I KNEW THE PREMISE WAS VERY OFF! I WAS ELEVEN YEARS OLD! I WAS A LITTLE KID! I KNEW THAT THIS WAS BULLOX!
So, with the premise as it stands, how was this show green lit?
