I started vaping in 2022 then i got sick around Christmas to the point I was bed bound for the first time since I had chicken pox in 1993... my advice to the young people would be don't go with new fads because they are trying to kill, castrate and sterilize you..do it how they did in the 20th century

reply

Are you talking about wokeness?
My family stay way far from it.
Look what’s happened to poor Kowalski.

reply

That's touching, but what the hell does it have to do with "Married with Children"?

reply

If you were around, you'd know that the ONLY reason MWC got created was that it appeared on what was then the brand new FOX network, which was an experiment at the time. It would've never seen the light of the day had FOX failed. FOX's success notwithstanding, a viewer famously tried getting the show off the air at the time.

But I know you weren't around, that you're just a troll starting trouble at MC.

reply

MWC was partially created by a black man who wanted to make an anti-Cosby show. I think that's one major reason it was made (and just imagine how revolutionary it would look today if they'd made the cast black).

reply

Yes, I had heard about that. JJ Walker was supposed to be cast in it.

If they had made the show black, it wouldn't have been what the original show eventually became (a live action cartoon). It would've probably continued to go down the route it did in the first season (a more grounded working class sitcom, similar to The Honeymooners).

That the show was supposed to be black has me wondering why if that's why they added the character, Griff. Maybe the showrunners were hoping to spin him off at some point.

reply

JJ Walker as the father would have been very interesting.

reply

Actually a show like this (which is among my top 5 sitcoms ever) was a miracle even back in the 80s, none of the "big three" large networks would have produced it.

reply

The show was revolutionary as it introduced an entirety new type of sitcom. An adult sitcom with raunchy jokes and plenty of cynicism.

reply

But they should make them.
