Is it true that the Bundys were originally supposed to be a black family?

But for quite obvious reasons, it would've been extremely hard pressed to put a show about a highly dysfunctional black family (no matter how funny it truly may be) on primetime circa 1986-87 without risking heavy blacklash.

Well.. Original title was "Not The Cosbys" so it's not that far-fetched.
