25th Anniversary

It was 25 years ago last week that this series first aired on television, in syndication. I was 19 then, and was early in my second year of college, and I do not remember when it first aired, but I do remember when it was playing in syndication a few years later, in the early 1990s. It came on late on Saturday nights, around 11:30. I started watching it then, and saw alot of the episodes, and really liked the first two seasons of it. I did not much like the third season, after the cast change, but I did see episodes of the first two seasons, and even taped some of them on our VCR. But often I was not able to stay up that late to watch them, and ended up going to bed before they came on, even though I had planned to watch them.

I remember being 16 and ditching going out with my friends just so that I could see the show. I agree with you that the first 2 seasons were excellent. Scarecrow was the first episode that really got to me. ah the memories. Crushing on robey

This is one of my all-time favorite shows. I loved the chemistry between Micki, Jack, and Ryan. The first two seasons were the best!

Aww the good old days. :) I remember watching and trying to tape when it aired late on Friday nights. A lot of times it worked but sometimes something would go wrong (good old antenna TV with storms and such). If I had only known there would be such a thing as DVD and I would have two thirds of the series on it I wouldn't have tried so hard. :)

I can remember literally half the times I tried to tape the show when it aired at 1am or whatever, something would go wrong & I wouldn't be able to watch it the next morning. Almost always it was because "Nightline" ran long, and it would screw up the VCR recording at the right time, or more often because the TV listings in our local newspaper gave the wrong time that the show would air that week (it always switched around times & stations) :\

I remember that. I also had to content with sometime bad reception and all that. :) I actually used to have a tape filled with episodes somewhere.

Now, I have them on DVD.

Yeah, I have all three Seasons on DVD from Amazon months ago, and now there will be another set of DVD next month. I am hoping for Bluray, but we will see about that.
