Does anyone else think...

That this show was the forerunner of Warehouse 13?

Indeed I do. I avoided watching "Warehouse 13" for a few years simply because I thought it was a rip-off of this series. It was only recently that I actually watched through "Warehouse 13," and though it is different from FT13, they are very similar.

There's the core cast (woman/man/old man with a few additions later on), their goal of collecting cursed anti- err, supernaturally powered artifacts, and a 'will they or won't they?' element between Jack/Myka reminiscent of Ryan/Micki. Considering FT13 used to show on Syfy, it's entirely possible the creators of "Warehouse 13" decided to remake the show with their own twist.

There's a new film out, "Locker 13", that also sounds suspiciously similar to Friday's Curse. It's a series of four vignettes all involving a supposedly cursed locker. The first story involves a washed-up boxer who acquires a pair of cursed boxing gloves that cause him to win every match. Sound familiar?

"What fun is it being cool if you can't wear a sombrero?"

There was actually an episode about cursed boxing gloves in Friday's Curse... but I guess it doesn't have to be the same curse.

Yes. I, like another poster, have avoided watching, "Warehouse 13," because I felt that it was a blatant rip-off of "F13: TS." I figured: Why watch the rip-off when I can watch the original, which is the one I already love? I'm giving it a try right now. We'll see.

They're completely different beasts in terms of tone, drama, and character. I'd say only watch beyond the pilot if you enjoy a sillier FT13.

I have watched few episodes when it first came out but did not like it. It is not horror like this series. It did not interest me at all.
