Was there any mention of Denise after she left the show?

A few times. Mostly referring to Dwaynes love for her.

Actually she appeared again. Dwayne went to visit her and took Whitley on unrelated business. He had received a letter from her and thought she might still be into him. They were both shocked to learn she was married. Mrs. Huxtable had a sort of heart to heart with Whitley as well, they had some good chemistry. Mrs Huxtable appeared a few extra times in the series.

She's referred to multiple times. First in Season 2 Episode 1 where they explain that Denise isn't coming back. Then in Season 3 Episode 6 where Dwayne and Whitley go to visit Denise at the Huxtable house. There were a few other mentions when Claire returned to visit Hillman and everyone told her how much they miss Denise.

She was also mentioned in the episode where Dwayne wrote a math poem and explained that it was his first love, then Ron said something to the effect of, "Besides Denise Huxtable, of course".
