Which moments of this show made you laugh the most? I can think of two right off the top of my head:
When Ron got that bad haircut and Dwayne was laughing his a-ss off. One of those storytelling memories for sure!
When Mr. Gaines was appearing to take in everything Whitley was saying to him at a rapid pace, only to take out his earplugs once Whitley left.
During finals when all the girls are wearing head scarves. Dwayne has some joke about thinking it was the Ukraine.
shareS2 episode 1 Whitney meets Kim. Kim mentions that Whitley is from Richmond and she has family in Lincoln Heights. She asks Whitley if she is familiar with the area. Whitley replies "I've heard of it..." as to imply she wouldn't be caught dead on that side of town. I crack up everytime!
shareThere's quite a few moments that I really enjoy, but a couple come I mind:
- The episode in the first season where Dwayne takes Denise to the Japanese restaurant and Whitley shows up. Whitley is depressed and starts jabbering on and she starts talking about how relaxing the (Japanese) music is. She starts making "ding-ding" sounds and it goes on for a little while, with well timed pauses. I think she also starts talking about the clock and does a similar thing but goes "bong".
- Another time, I think in season 3, there's a new, attractive literature teacher and Whitley says "Mr. So-and-so" (I can't remember his name lol) and he says his name is Paul and Whitley responds "my favorite apostle".
I know there are way more instances, but these are a couple of my favorites.
I really liked Sinbad's character, seems so real. I find myself laughing at a lot of his lines.
