Whitley and Dwayne were the best characters on the show. Freddie developed from shy to annoying to a great person.
Maggie was so annoying! I am so glad she left Hillman after less than one year! Jalessa changed from a very strong woman to a crybaby and a whiner after she married Col. Taylor!

I just couldn't stand Dwayne in later years. He was ok until he and Whitley became an item. After that, he became annoying. It was like once they put him in a suit it just went to his head. He just became smug and cocky. That's why I love that episode that Kriss Kross was on. I just loved it when one of the boy's father jacked him up against that wall.

I loved Dwayne, but this cracked me up, especially because I just watched that episode. It was intense. share

My LEAST favorite were Jaleesa & Kim. Jaleesa was simply useless. She contributed nothing to the show, and I guarantee you, that any fan of the show watched it for everyone BUT Jaleesa. I really hated how they had her character over playing the pregnant wife in season 5 after she married Col. Taylor. In damn near every scene, there she was with a piece of chicken in her mouth. Writers may as well have just written all her lines as, "I's bee eatin' fo' two!" Then there was Kim Reese. Too uptight, and came off as the kind of woman who feels that if SHE isn't getting any (sex) then neither should you. (Example..Freddie & Shaza Zulu) I also didn't like the make-up and wardrobe crew who constantly dressed her in big ass Humpty-Dumpty outfits. She was plump enough WITHOUT the oversized rompers, skirts, etc. And that roadkill on her head called hair??? Yuck! Sure, she was dark, which meant that her hair should have stayed out of her face. Pinned up, or a nice style that didn't require bangs, etc. She looked like nothing but a big ball of white teeth & hair for the whole 6 years.
