Who would have thought that a cartoon movie from the 80's would be better than the live action ones made recently

This movie was actually pretty damn good as a film, and not just a kiddie movie.

They certainly could have come up with a better leader I guess. But this movie was way darker than I ever would have expected.

Excuse me while I re-edit the movie with Hulk Hogan's entrance music spliced in.

I'm all for the Stan Bush songs, "Dare" being my particular favorite. You made an excellent point about the similarities between "The Touch" and "Real American", which I found inspiring.

reply

I love General Spectre's(aka Kick Axe) arena rock songs in the movie too. I'm sure the percieved resemblence to Real American and The touch was just the style of music from the mid 80s.

This isn't an 80s song but it sounds the same too. Its done for comedic results of course.

Wow, I wouldn't have expected anyone to cover a song from DVDA.

reply

I actually thought it was DVDA just renamed.

And it was the second to last movie with Orson Welles!

My Grandpappy never forgave him for tricking him about those damn Martians!

Well HASH, that right there is one thing we heartily agree on!

I remember my friends and I being amazed that they said the word “shit” in it back then.

reply

Mind-blowing at the time. I couldn't believe how nonchalantly it was dropped in there.

I used to hate Hot Rod until Michael Bay came along.

reply

Michael Bay was the wrong choice
