Original UK Cinema Release
Does anyone have any sources confirming that the UK release date for the film was 5th December? That may seem like an odd thing to care about, but that was the day I was born, and as this was likely my most watched film through my childhood it would be extremely cool if it was true. However the booklet in the 20th Anniversary DVD suggests that it was released in the UK on 12th December, which is supported by this vintage TV advert on YouTube
