A look at what it might've been like if James Horner had scored The Voyage Home


I'd long ago accepted that Horner didn't continue with the series and I learned to appreciate some of Leonard Rosenmann's work in Star Trek IV. But someone's made a clever mockup of how The Voyage Home could've played with Horner at the musical helm:

Whether or not you agree with how well it fits (personally I think you can just tone down the 'villainous' music a bit and it fits damn near perfect), it's definitely makes for a thrilling scene... and it's also just *really* nice to hear those Horner themes behind Kirk and crew one last time. Oh, what might have been.

There's other vids out there that try it with different scenes, but that one above is by far the most convincing, imo.
