How Did Kirk Split Up the Money?

So how did Kirk split up $100 seven ways? Did he give Sulu and Chekov less? And seems like only Kirk and Spock actually spent any money.

Bigger question is with $100 split seven ways, how did Kirk and Spock manage to still have enough money to get tickets for the whale institute? Those things are not cheap.

Well Shatner certainly wouldn't have tried to get more money for himself at the expense of the other members of the cast, right?

$100 was worth a lot more in 1986 than it is now, here's an inflation calculator:

It shows $100 in 1986 is worth $213.24 in 2015 so the tickets to the institute wouldn't have been as expensive as today.

From what I can remember, Kirk had a fistful of dollars and just randomly gave each crew member whatever they got.

I can just imagine the comedic possibilities. "Kirk gives a twenty dollar bill and a five dollar bill to Bones and Scotty. 'Here is 25 for you'". "Kirk gives a quarter to Uhura and Chekov 'And here is 25 for you'"

End of line
