goofy, but in a good way

I loved this movie when I was a kid, and now I realize how goofy it is, but I still love it. It's not supposed to be realistic, it's supposed to be strange. The story is great and fun to watch. This is one of the most underrated movies ever.

I'm watching this right now, 5 years after your post... I grew up watching this too, in 1986 I was 13, and I remember when time stood still the day the Challenger exploded.
