Oxygen??? Shouldn't it be air?

You don't breath straight oxygen, you breath air... Shouldn't it be air bottles instead? It's just like when you are scuba diving, you have an air bottle, not an oxygen bottle. Oxygen bottles are most often used as medicine. Even Zack says, "They have air!"

It is air, and not Oxygen that they breathe. HOWEVER they measure everything in O2 levels, and have for a long time.

It's one of those things that everyone knows isn't 100% right, but it sticks.

In fact, I think they breathe more O2 than normal air, and have less pressure for it...

In Space Suit, I think is almost 100% oxigen in 30% pressure... to not became a "space baloon"...

They only refer to the O2 because it is the only part of the air that we use when we breathe. The compressed oxygen tanks only contain O2 since the nitrogen levels remain constant regardless of usage. Scrubbers remove the CO2 and then you have what we call air.
