Am I correct that much of this is filmed in Astoria, Oregon?
shareAbsolutely correct. That bridge (the Astoria-Megler) is a dead giveaway. There just aren't that many 4 mile-long bridges in the world.
shareIt was also filmed at North Bonneville, Washington. The very beginning you can see the dam. That's where my wife works.
I live five minutes away.
Mostly Astoria. The climactic scene was shot at Vasquez Rocks in Los Angeles County.
That's roughly 1,000 miles in a very short drive. Wish I had a car like that. <g>
