maria and her children
did boyle ever find them or what that a fictionalized aspect of the movie?
sharedid boyle ever find them or what that a fictionalized aspect of the movie?
shareI noticed that even though this movie is based on fact, there's still the standard 'fictional characters and events' disclaimer at the end of the credits. This makes me wonder if the epilogue comments were fictional. For example, one of the comments stated that Maria ended up in a refugee camp in Guatemala; another stated that Boyle was still looking for them (presumably as of the mid-eighties). I don't mind a director adding plotline to a historical-based movie for dramatic effect, but I think a fictitious epilogue is pushing it a bit far. Anyone here know the reality?
sharei know that oliver stone is known for "augmenting" the facts, but fact or not; was this the sadist ending you've seen in your life or not
