Other salvador war film

There was a movie that came out about septemper to october of last year and it was about a kid who was forced into fighting in the civil war of salvador. I cant remeber the name could someone please tell me if they know.

Perhaps you're talking about a mexican movie called "Voces Inocentes"? It's about a kid indeed, but he isn't forced to fight. His friend was, however. It's a very good movie. I really recomend it.

Missing, with Jack Lemmon and Sissy Spacek?

reply

I didn't think that was about El Salvador. Missing, if I were to take a guess, was probably about Chile. I don't know or remember what country specifically the country in that movie.

And, yes, that movie you're asking about is Innocent Voices / Voces inocentes.

The film that you are referring to is called Romero and is about Archbishop Romero who is seen assassinated in this film as well. I havent seen it in many years but I thought it was pretty good as well.

ROMERO is a bad movie ... voces inocentes is a better movie but here in El Salvador we dont like it.. well most of the people ..

reply

Why don't you or the other people like the movie Romero or Voces Inocentes in El Salvador?

reply

VOCES INOCENTES IS ABSOLUTELY BASED ON THE MOVIE IN EL SALVADOR, not other countries because i have the dvd and it says its about el salvador

Romero is a good film. Flawed and not perfect but a good film.

reply

Yeah Pregunta, Missing is based on events in Chile

Check out "In the Name of the People" a film that follows the guerillas in El Salvador, during the war. It was a very interesting movie.
