Not only does this deserve to be in the imdb 250 it should have a higher rating, anyone else really shocked about that.

Yes I am, this was an excellent movie and very underrated. If you look at the voting process that IMDB uses it will have wide range of age groups and that can explain some of the movie ratings, most of the voters were in the 18-29 range.

i think the whole rating system must be flawed, theirs so many movies in the top 250 that dont deserve and vica versa with loads not in it that deserve.

Well you can't accommodate all your favorite movies in the top 250. There is no right answer to this.

You can't always get what you want, it's a damn fine movie, but on no par to Stone's 'JFK' or 'NIXON'

the historical inaccuracies shown in the movie are what keep this movie from being better rated in my opinion, stone should have done way more research and show things how they really happened, and for those who say *beep* like that still goes on in el salvador youre wrong

The movie was not wildly popular, its politics was abrasive and at odds with the foreign policy of the Reagan administration its always going to divide opinion.

Its that man again!!

Woods is amazing in it. My second favourite Woods film now, just behind THE HARD WAY

What I find troubling is the number of people who have rated this movie. That alone shows how many people HAVE NOT seen this movie. For me, this is required viewing. One of James Woods best performances. Belushi wasn't so bad either.
