I know he served his time/sentence, and that its just a film lol, but would someone as dangerous as him really just be let go with no mandatory psychiatrist sessions?

They mentioned at the beginning of Psycho II that there were cut backs at the hospital and because of that there would be no one to check up on him.

But I completely see your point.
