Did you go to see this in a cinema?

I love reading peoples stories of when they went to see something at the cinema especially ones from the 70's/80's, so I'd love to hear yours about this one, did you go to see it at a matinee or late at night was it packed or were you the only one there, thanks in advance.

I saw "Psycho III" when it opened in theatres, my grandpa took me as I was only 13 and it was rated R. I don't remember a crowd because we usually went to matinees, but what I remembered most was recognizing Juliette Cummins (Red) as she had just been in "Friday The 13th:A New Beginning." At such a young age I was told to cover my eyes when there was nudity, but of course I peeked! Anyways, I thought it was cool that she was in two horror flicks and I've been a fan of hers ever since, even have had the chance to interview her and speak with her on the phone. I think the movie itself is underrated, I just watched it the other night and it really is well done.

I saw this film in the theater when it first came out. The audience was quite lively and vocal about their enjoyment of this movie. The scene with the corpse in the ice chest in particular had the audience roaring with laughter.

I enjoy keeping busy. Satan finds work for idle hands.

I saw this movie the night it came out when I was in high school, I still wasn't old enough to see R movies, but me and my friends would sneak to them all the time. I remember the theater being pretty packed and lots of screaming at the scary parts.
I remember thinking it was cool to see the girl from Mommy Dearest in a PSYCHO movie.
I also loved the music, so I bought the soundtrack album on cassette tape. I loved listening to it on my walkman, and also used some of the music in the movies that me and my friends in the neighborhood would make for fun.
Those were good times, I still love all the Psycho movies, (especially Psycho II).

I saw this at the cinema in Londons West End. Saturday afternoon i think. The cinema was about half full and the line that got the biggest laugh was when Norman says he's seen the bathroom look a lot worse, after Scarwid apologises for making it such a mess. I really enjoyed it and loved the score so much i bought the soundtrack!
I saw the film again the other day and couldn't believe how cheesy and dated it was. Perkins overacting is abysmal and the film looks really sleazy. Not a patch on the other two films.

I saw this at the 112 Drive In in Fayetteville, AR. I took my kids there this past weekend to see Wall-E and Ironman. Everytime I go to that Drive-In I can't help but remember being only eleven years old and watchin that movie at the Drive-In. I can almost remember how the night air felt, and how I felt that night. What great memories. We were really poor and had a beat up station wagon, I sat next to it in a lawn chair. That movie scared the BuhJesus out me for sure.

I saw it with my father during its original release. Unlike the other posters, however, we saw it at a drive-in.

Yeah, I saw this with my mother and stepfather. I was thirteen. My mother was EXTREMELY upset by the mixture of sex and violence and was crying after the movie was over. My stepfather tried to explain to her that it was not as extreme or pornographic as she thought but she was disgusted and upset that she'd taken her thirteen year-old son. Oh, yeah, real fun day.

I think it's over the top but has a few clever flourishes, mostly in the cinematography. They shouldn't have been making sequels to "Psycho" in the first place, but hey, that's life.
