Real famous last words - a US platoon leader guarding a perimeter said in a radio call one night in July 1950: "We eat this stuff up." About 30 seconds later he was dead with a submachine-gun bullet in his head as the North Koreans began over-running the position.

"Chicken soup - with a *beep* straw."

Scene was a little eerie when you hear the NVA talking over the radio then the radio just goes dead.
