Legal Implications + What Happened To The Girls?

Murder/suicide? Prison time for Simone? It's difficult to imagine that they would escape the situation unscathed, although I suppose you could rationally argue that the shootings were in self-defence. George pretends to wash his hands of the situation, but there's no way (legally or emotionally) he could distance himself that easily.

He was seen in a brawl with Anderson in Brighton that day and is a known former associate of the Michael Caine character, and probably would have been investigated by the police. Also, there was a third bad guy pursuing them (as seen during the chase at the pier), and no mention is made of him later on. He wasn't killed (that we know of) and that's a bit of a loose end.

Given the two criminals she murdered, it is easy to assume that she would plead self-defence. In my opinion, she would be acquitted, or manslaughter at the very worst.

What is important is the sense of freedom & calmness she exudes in the final scene.

Many facts were in her favour: protecting a minor, offenders had trespassed in her hotel room to attack her, history of violence & crime against them. George could even bear witness to it.

It's an open ending....albeit with the positive notion that Simone (& her friend Kathy) aren now free.

Depends how the gun would be looked at. They could all do a few years for handling the thing.
And George getting back into vice as soon as he was out of prison.
The credits scene seemed a bit too happy an ending.

Was the third guy Perry Fenwick, who knew Simone was back after seeing her in the Jag at Kings Cross?
