Did anyone wish Hendershot didn't get killed?

As much of a jerk Hendershot was I wish he didn't get killed off because he was hilarious in every scene he was in, I thought Pat Hingle gave a great performance as Hendershot although he wasn't a very likable character.

Of course Hingle was great, he was always great. But Hendershot was a POS and he got what was coming to him.

While Hendershot wasn't the nicest character but he did crack me up, I thought Pat Hingle gave a great performance as the scummy owner of the truck shop
