Interestingly, it doesn't appear that any passenger cars turned into killers. From the evidence in the film they are still mindless (OR, they actually want to be our friends). Wonder what the difference was. Gasoline powered instead of diesel?
Still one of my favorite films of the '80s.
Conquer your fear, and I promise you, you will conquer death.
Yeah, people have brought this up, before: there are definitely inconsistencies. Gas vs Diesel SEEMS to be the dividing line, until you consider that the ice cream truck almost certainly wasn't diesel-powered, and the lawnmower DEFINITELY wasn't. And then there are the electric devices, such as the carving knife, the lift bridge, the ATM, the bank sign, the coke machine...
- What are you gonna do, when the world catches on?
After one of them that says Hell's Bell's you see Kurt & Connie and as they go by several cars had headlights flash.
Not sure how to make out what happened in the Beetle unless something was going at him head on and then smash into the tree. Although the window as if it rolled up on him as well when he tried to get out of it which I don't remember if Beetle's had power windows or not.
