Scream Factory Release

Any thoughts on the new Blu-Ray from Shout/Scream factory?

I've watched the theatrical edition, as well as the interviews with Petersen, Allen, Noonan, and Cox. I didn't notice any differences between the film and the MGM Blu-Ray. The "blow him out of his socks" dialogue is present. The interviews were quite enjoyable and informative.

I do wish they could have secured some actors for a commentary track. Some additional deleted footage would have also been welcome.

The bonus features are great, the first Lecktor interview with Brian Cox was very cool. I didn't really notice anything different in the theatrical cut on the scream release from the MGM release picture quality wise. I haven't put on the directors cut yet but from what I've read its just standard definition inserts.

Otherwise its a great release for fans of the film if you want those bonus features and a directors cut of the film, plus I really dig the new art work.

On a side note, screams release of Texas Chainsaw 2 compared the MGM bluray is almost night and day, but then again they didn't go into Manhunter with a 2k scan. Not that I'm knocking the scream release, Manhunter still looks great in HD.
